Nicole Hamilton joins Peace Point

Peace Point Entertainment (PPE) has hired Nicole Hamilton, most recently Temple Street Productions’ senior director of factual entertainment, to be its VP of creative and development.

The company also promoted Julie Chang and Eric Mueller to the positions of senior VP of business affairs and acquisitions, and senior VP of international sales and acquisitions respectively, at Peace Point Rights, PPE’s distribution division.

Hamilton (pictured above), who will oversee PPE’s global creative strategic direction, as well as the company’s Toronto-based development team and developmental activities in LA and New York, began her career as an associate producer on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

During her stint at Canwest Broadcasting, Hamilton took on the roles of acting director of original production and acting VP of programming for Slice and TVTropolis, supervising the development and production of more than 40 series including Project Runway Canada, From the Ground Up with Debbie Travis and Chef at Home with Michael Smith, as well as series producer for Slice’s Wedding SOS and HGTV’s For Rent.

At Temple Street, Hamilton managed the factual production and development slates of such series as Say Yes to the Dress Canada for the W Network and the CBC’s Recipe to Riches.

Hamilton will also work closely with Peace Point Rights to maximize coproduction opportunities and international relationships.
