Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts have boarded Jean-Marc Vallee’s next movie, the romantic drama Demolition for U.S. producers Black Label Media, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Mr. Mudd.

Gyllenhaal last year starred in Denis Villeneuve’s Prisoners movie for Warner Bros., alongside Hugh Jackman.

Demolition portrays a young investment banker struggling to understand his emotional unraveling after the tragic death of his wife.

Vallee’s latest movie, Wild, for Fox Searchlight and starring Reese Witherspoon, is screening this week in Toronto after bowing at Telluride.

Vallee’s Dallas Buyers Club netted Oscars for Matthew McConaughey and co-star Jared Leto.
