Toronto-based distributor Proper Rights has sold a raft of factual entertainment series to assorted broadcasters internationally, including automotive series Last Car Standing (pictured, 8 x 60 minutes) and Strip ‘n’ Rip (aka Vegas Rat Rods, 8 x 60 minutes).
The content sales arm of Proper Television has shopped the two Proper-produced car series to Discovery Turbo Channel in Latin America, while ABGroupe in France has taken non-traditional broadcast rights for Last Car Standing.
Discovery Networks Latin America, meanwhile, has picked up the one-off documentary Dads, produced by The Sound Films; while Antenna 3 in Spain has taken terrestrial rights for Associated Producers’ The Lost Tomb of Jesus (1 x 60 minutes).
Elsewhere in Europe, Sweden’s UR Channel and YLE in Finland have picked up the Proper Television-produced adventure show 7 Days in Hell. Australia’s Foxtel, meanwhile, has taken Tiny, a 1 x 60-minute documentary from Speak Thunder Films.
In Canada, Radio Canada has picked up French language rights for Associated Producers’ one-off The Age of Anxiety, and Proper Television’s series Real Stories, which looks at the true stories behind assorted Hollywood films.
