An ongoing refocusing of Entertainment One Films International has led Montreal-based Anick Poirier to head up a new indie sales arm, Séville International.

Poirier becomes VP international sales, from April 1, 2014, charged with spotting Canadian arthouse independent films for local distribution, and with acquiring new films from around the world in partnership with eOne film sales arms internationally.

Poirier was with Les Films Séville when it was acquired by eOne in 2008, having served as VP of international sales since joining the indie distributor in 2002.

Her latest promotion was unveiled by Harold van Lier, president, eOne Films International, who is expanding his London-based division to find English-speaking commercial titles for direct distribution and international sales.

Reporting to van Lier, Poirier will lead the boutique sales division from eOne’s Montreal-based Les Films Séville offices.
