Northern Ontario filmmakers have their own incubator.
Robert Budreau’s Lumanity North production shingle is launching a short film calling card program, LumanityNORTH film incubator.
Having pacted with Bell Media’s bravoFACT, Lumanity North will shortlist three applicant teams to go through a weekend boot camp in North Bay.
The goal is to offer training and mentorship from industry professionals to hone their short film projects.
The winning team will earn a $10,000 grant from BravoFACT, in-kind services to complete their short film, and a premiere at the Cinefest Sudbury International Film Festival.
Only northern Ontario filmmakers need apply, and students are not eligable unless they are completing their final year of school.
