Syfy orders fifth season of Haven

Syfy is doubling down on Haven.

The U.S. network has ordered a fifth season, or 26 new episodes, of the sci fi series to shoot in Nova Scotia this spring.

The first 13 episodes of the series from Entertainment One, Big Motion Pictures and Pillar/Segan/Shepherd is set to debut this fall, with the remaining 13 episodes to air in 2015.

Haven stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour, and is based on the novella The Colorado Kid by Stephen King.

The drama follows former FBI agent Audrey Parker as a cop in the small town of Haven, Maine and discovering the town’s many secrets.

Haven also airs in Canada on Showcase and internationally  via Universal Networks International’s Syfy channels.

The Canadian series is executive produced by John Morayniss, David MacLeod, Lloyd Segan, Shawn Piller, Scott Shepherd, Matt McGuinness and Gabrielle Stanton.
