Space’s debut Saturday night of the steamy female werewolf drama Bitten drew an average 265,000 viewers, according to BBM Canada data.

The Canadian debut came ahead of Syfy premiering the Laura Vandervoorts-starrer on Monday night at 10 p.m, after season four premiere of Lost Girl and Being Human at 9 p.m.

Bitten has Vandervoort playing female werewolf who reluctantly returns to her secretive pack of male werewolves to help track down the serial killer that threatens to reveal their supernatural roots.

The sci-fi drama on Space was the most-watched specialty program on Saturday for A25-54 and A18-49.

Space will air encore episodes of Bitten on Mondays at 10 p.m., in synch with Syfy.
