The Canada Media Fund will distribute $4.7 million in total funding through its Francophone Minority Program, the organization announced this week.
Distributed across 18 productions outside of Quebec, the funding is awarded to projects that reflect the realities of living in French-language communities outside La Belle province. Some recipient prodcos received funding based on both their television and digital media components, with combined amounts ranging from $579,000 to $30,000.

($385,435 – TV/digital); Productions du milieu for 5e Élément ($381,914 -TV/digital); 666765 BC. Ltd for Crimes de l’Ouest ($379,719); Les Productions Rivard for Sur la route des jardins ($377,326 – TV/digital) Les Productions Mozus for Champs libres ($296,517 –TV/Digital); Productions Testa for Droit comme un F ($199,000); Productions Appalaches for Expérience Pour La Vie (Une) ($150,000); Médiatique for Toronto: la guerre contre la bicyclette ($150,000); 609613 NB Ltée for Vie aux sommets (La) ($150,000); Productions Testa for Correspondant du Grand Nord (Le) ($143,045); 6399550 Canada for Jeunes philanthropes ($134,156); Wookey Films for Cloche de Batoche ($42,196); 606913 NB Ltée for Baie des merveilles ($39,039); Connections Productions for Pour l’amour du Country XIII ($32,460 – TV) and les productions une bouteille à la mer for Humour en Acadie ($30,000).
