Peace Point Rights sold three series to Scripps Networks International for Food Network U.K., Ireland and Poland, and Fine Living across EMEA, for broadcast in 2014.
Food Network picked up seasons one to three of Fresh with Anna Olson for an extended run in the U.K., Ireland and Poland. Food Network in Poland also acquired the first season of Bake with Anna Olson. And Fine Living picked up bridal show Keasha’s Perfect Dress across EMEA.
Tricon Films & Television announced a score of post-MIPCOM sales for food and home reno series. Bitchin’ Kitchen was acquired by Food Network U.K. (season three plus a one-hour special), RTL Netherlands (season three) and Brand New Media Australia (season one).
And Gusto! Canada picked up Now Eat This! With Rocco Dispirito, while Wananchi Programming, Sub Saharan Africa and Chello Multicanal Spain picked up the first and both seasons, respectively, of Spice Goddess.
RTL Netherlands also picked up the first two seasons of Restaurant Makeover, and the first season of Restaurant Takeover.
The first season of competition show Donut Showdown was sold to Li TV Malaysia and SBS Discovery Norway, while Li TV also picked up the third season of Decked Out. Canal Vie Quebec also picked up the second and third seasons of Decked Out, in addition to the second season of Disaster Decks.
And Li TV Malaysia and Canal+ Poland picked up the first season of A Bryk at a Time, while DIY Canada took the third season of Family Under Construction.
Proper Rights also finalized a batch of sales post-MIPCOM, across four continents. TVA’s Casa Channel in Quebec licensed French-language rights to the second season of Firvalley Productions’ Canada’s Handyman Superstar Challenge. Seprately, Discovery Networks Europe picked up Handyman Superstar Challenge for its regional EMEA feed.
In the U.K., Proper’s Strip n’Rip, formerly titled Vegas Rat Rods, was picked up by UKTV. Australia’s Seven Network and Discovery Networks Asia picked up Proper’s Last Car Standing, while New Zealand’s Sky Network acquired Dads, from The Sound Film Production.
And in Thailand, TrueVisions acquired Firvalley Productions’ Real Designing Women and Associated Producers’ Age of Anxiety.

Pacific Northwest Pictures has acquired the Canadian rights to Roger Michell’s romantic comedy Le Week-end, which bowed at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The Canadian release for the Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan-starrer is set for the first quarter of 2014, day-and-date with the U.S. theatrical release by Music Box Films. – Etan Vlessing
