He Never Died begins production

Principal photography has begun on crime-horror-thriller He Never Died, from producers Adam Shully and Zach Hagen of Alternate Ending Studios.

Directed by Jason Krawczyk (The Briefcase), the film stars punk icon Henry Rollins as a mysterious loner who lives a life of blood lust and crime. Rollins is also exec producing the film.

“In November, I read the script for He Never Died. The next day I met director Jason Krawczyk and producer Zach Hagen and basically begged for the opportunity to be involved. It’s one of the best scripts I’ve ever read,” said Rollins in a statement.

He Never Died also stars Boo Boo Stewart (the Twilight franchise), Kate Greenhouse (The Dark Hours), Jordan Todosey (Degrassi: The Next Generation), and Steven Ogg (the voice of Trevor in GTAV).

Cinematographer Eric Billman, who worked with Krawczyk on Krawczyk’s debut feature The Briefcase, is on board the production.

108 Media holds world sales rights to the film, which is shooting in Toronto.

“The strong script in combination with Jason’s potential as a director and the commitment of major talent helped us put together the deal in three weeks. For us, it’s an excellent intellectual property, in the vein of Sin City, with considerable transmedia potential. Our next step will be to develop a TV pilot,” said 108 Media CEO Abhi Rastogi in a statement.
