Vancouver-based VFX supervisor Doug Campbell received a 2013 Hollywood Post Alliance (HPA) award for his work with Spin VFX on Game of Thrones (“Valar Dohaeris”).

Campbell, along with Joe Bauer and Jabbar Raisani, and Jörn Grosshans and Sven Martin of Pixomondo, received the prize for outstanding visual effects in television.

The five-time Emmy nominated Campbell led the Spin team, working with supervising producer Luke Groves, to deliver more than 200 shots for the third season of Game of Thrones.

The HPA awards were handed out on Nov. 8 at the Skirball Cultural Center in L.A. The awards recognize individuals and companies for outstanding contributions in helping to create global features, TV series, spots and entertainment.
