TV wrestler Chris Jericho has returned home to star in the Insight Productions web comedy series But I’m Chris Jericho.
Jericho, who grew up in Winnipeg, stars in the 10-episode series as a former wrestling looking to make it as an actor.
The web comedy, which received funding from the OMDC and the Independent Production Fund, will stream simultaneously on a new website, butimchrisjericho.com, and Shaw Media’s Action YouTube channel every Tuesday from Oct. 29.
Andy Kindler, Phil Blank and Scott Thompson join the ensemble cast for But I’m Chris Jericho.
The weekly web series will include new digital content every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, including 11 bonus webisodes starring characters from the web series like a fan played by Laurie Elliott and his roommate (Christian Potenza), as well as exclusive behind the scenes footage.
Executive producers on But I’m Chris Jericho are John Brunton and Barbara Bowlby, with Shannon Farr as the supervising producer.
Jericho will share a producer credit with Gary Rideout Jr., Bob Kerr, Craig Brown, all of whom created and write the web series.
