The Jim Henson Company has licensed its animated children’s series, Doozers, to Nickelodeon Australia. The series, produced by the Jim Henson Company and Halifax-based DHX Media, is based on the wee worker characters featured in Henson’s Fraggle Rock, and debuted on Nick Jr. on Oct. 7.

Doozers (52 x 11 minutes) has also been making its way across Europe, the Middle East and Africa on Turner Broadcasting’s preschool channel, Cartoonito, which reaches 125 million homes.  Further, Turner Enterprises has been appointed the product licensing rights for the same territories.

The series is also set to air on Discovery Kids Latin America and Cartoon Network Asia.
