The Air Canada enRoute Film Festival has announced its short film award nominees and a free public screening of the nominated short films, which will take place on Nov. 6 at the Varsity Cinema in Toronto.
The nominees are Eileen Peng’s Godfather Death; Andrew Moir’s Just As I Remember; Roman Tchjen and Vaishni Majoomdar’s Walk the Moon; and Sophie Jarvis and Kane Stewart’s The Worst Day Ever.
The best short film award winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize, while all festival winners receive a trip for two to the Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
enRoute in expanding its industry focus also announced its inaugural film industry panel in Montreal.
Happening Nov. 4, the panel is aimed at film students and emerging filmmakers, to discuss film festivals, markets and the business of shorts.
