Toronto-based Shaftesbury has sold Bron Animation-produced Mighty Mighty Monsters, a trio of animated specials, to Teletoon Canada.

The three 44-minute specials – Halloween Havoc, New Fears Eve and Pranks for the Memories – follow a group of monster kids who must try to fit in at a normal school after being expelled from Monster Academy.

Teletoon will air the premiere of Mighty Mighty Monsters: Halloween Havoc on Oct. 28.

Mighty Mighty Monsters is based on a book series created and written by Sean Patrick O’Reilly (a Playback 2013 10 to Watch-er) and is produced by Barbara Zelinski and Bron managing director Aaron L. Gilbert.

Bron Animation, which has started production on new feature film The Henchmen, is a recently launched British Columbia-based producer of CG-animated original motion pictures, holiday specials and TV series.
