Industry consultant Michel Houle has replaced Rock Demers as president of the French-language committee and co-chair of the board of directors of the Harold Greenberg Fund.

Houle has been on the Harold Greenberg Fund board of directors for 11 years.

“Michel’s in-depth knowledge of film and television production, distribution and exhibition make him uniquely qualified to take over and pursue the Fund’s mission,” said Charles Benoit, president, television and radio – Québec at Bell Media, on news of Houle succeeding Demers, president of Productions La Fête.

Demers was named president of the industry fund’s French-language committee in 1996.

This week, he was inducted into Playback‘s Canadian Film & TV Hall of Fame.
