The Directors Guild of Canada is promoting Brian Baker to national executive director.
Baker replaces Gerry Barr, who will fill a new lobbying post, senior public affairs advisor, in Ottawa.
The shakeup, to take effect Nov. 1, follows a special meeting of the DGC’s national executive board on Tuesday.
Baker, currently associate national executive director, gets the promotion as the guild looks to bolster its national office.
“Brian Baker brings a key commitment to growing the national organization and to strengthening our focus on service excellence when it comes to the needs of our members,” said DGC national president Sturla Gunnarson in a statement.
