Tricon lands Pivot programming

Toronto-based Tricon Films & Television has landed the international distribution rights to factual and scripted programming being made for Participant Media‘s new network Pivot.

As part of the deal, Tricon will represent Pivot’s HitRECord on TV! (pictured above), a variety show featuring  the work of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s open-source online community; Raising McCain, a docuseries following Meghan McCain; Jersey Strong, a reality show following lives of families from the street and the executive suite; and Take Part Live, a late night show.

Tricon will also have a first look deal on Pivot’s original one-hour dramas.

“Pivot’s fresh approach to programming has drawn an exciting line up of talent whose work will resonate with Millennials everywhere,” said Andrea Gorfolova, president of Tricon Films & Television. “We look forward to partnering with them to bring this original and timely content to viewers around the world.”

“Tricon’s forte is bringing unique and unconventional programming to the international marketplace,” said Pivot president Evan Shaprio. “They have as much passion and conviction for our shows as we do, and we can’t wait for Andrea and her team to introduce our series and talent overseas.”
