In its first sales under the Proper Television banner, Toronto-based distributor BuzzTaxi has sold Survivorman, Dads and Science of the Soul into Latin America, France and Israel.
BuzzTaxi was acquired by Proper Television earlier this summer.
France’s AB Groupe has picked up season one of Les Stroud Productions’ Survivorman (10 x 60 minutes) and Survivorman: Ten Days (12 x 60 minutes). The 10-part series sees Les Stroud living in the wild for seven days without food, shelter, or fresh water and in the new series, Survivorman: Ten Days, Stroud pushes the survival to 10 days.
Cuisine TV in France has taken the first season of Cuisinez comme Louis (52 x 30 minutes), which stars Chef Louis-François Marcotte as he and a guest star prepare a dish. It is produced by Montreal’s Broil Productions.
Discovery Latin America has picked up a package of four one-offs for its pan-territory feed, including Age of Anxiety (60 minutes), on anxiety and the pharmaceutical industry; and Science of the Soul (90 minutes), both from Toronto-based Associated Producers.
The network also picked up 90th Parallel Productions’ Rude: Where Are Our Manners (60 minute), and The Sound Film’s Dads (60 minutes), on contemporary fatherhood. Channel 8 in Israel also picked up Dads.
