Restaurant Takeover takes over U.S., Europe

Toronto- and L.A.-based distributor Tricon Films & Television has sold a raft of lifestyle titles, including Restaurant Takeover (pictured), Decked Out and Donut Showdown, to broadcasters across Europe and North America.

More than 160 hours have been sold, with several deals for Restaurant Takeover. Cooking Channel in the U.S. has picked up season one of the show, while Ananey in Israel, Puls TV in Poland, Spafax Asiana Airlines and Nat Geo Italy have acquired seasons one and two.

The fifth season of the series’ long-running predecessor, Restaurant Makeover, has sold to Nat Geo Italy.

Elsewhere, interior designer docu-series A Bryk at a Time has sold to Digicast Italy, Foxtel Australia and African Business Channel, while season three of Decked Out has sold to Discovery UK and the African Business Channel. Season one of Disaster Decks was picked up by Discovery UK, Living Channel New Zealand and Canal Vie Quebec.

Finally, Donut Showdown sold to Zeste Quebec, select seasons of Marriage Under Construction and Pop Up Gourmet sold to Li TV Malaysia, while seasons one and two of Bitchin’ Kitchen were picked up by Brand New Media in Australia.
