Toronto-based production and distribution company Thomas Howe Associates (THA) has hired BBC Worldwide Canada’s Gwen Jones McCauley for the role of SVP of content sales and business development.
In the newly created role, Jones McCauley will be tasked with representing THA’s catalog, which includes programming from Classic Media, Aardman Rights, Eagle Vision and RTE.
She will also be responsible for finding international television series to bring to Canadian audiences.
The company has a number of formats and series in development, and most recently Thomas Howe served as executive producer on Canadian versions of the Undercover Boss and Be the Boss formats for W Network in Canada.
Most recently, Jones McCauley was the VP of sales and coproductions at BBC Worldwide’s Toronto office, and also served as VP of sales and acquisitions for Skywriter Entertainment and Cookie Jar Entertainment.
“[Jones McCauley’s] extensive experience and deep industry contacts both here and abroad will ensure the continued growth and success of the company,” said THA’s CEO Tom Howe in a statement.
