Raven Banner takes Canadian rights to Slash-er flick

Toronto genre producer and distributor Raven Banner Entertainment has picked up the Canadian rights to Nothing Left to Fear, a horror flick from newly formed label Slasher Films.

Slasher Films is founded by Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash and producers Rob Eric and Michael Williams (The Fog of War) of U.S.-based Scout Productions.

Raven Banner will release the Nothing Left to Fear theatrically in the fall, through its monthly Sinister Cinema series in partnership with Cineplex Entertainment.

“We admire Raven Banner’s innovative distribution strategy and their eclectic taste in genre storytelling,” said producer Eric in a statement.

According to the prodco, Nothing Left to Fear is inspired by folklore that the town of Stull, Kansas is the location of a gateway to hell. The film follows a couple and their three children who have just moved to a small town, where the husband is the new pastor. As they get to know their so-called friendly community, they realize there is a horrific history beneath the surface.

The film, written by Jonathan W.C. Mills, also features original music from Slash and Nicholas O’Toole.

The deal was negotiated by James Fler and Michael Paszt for Raven Banner, producers Eric and Williams for Slasher Films, and Harry White of Content Media Corp.
