The Canada-French coproduced Transporter TV series has a possible second season on the drawing board.
Following HBO/Cinemax last week signalling it won’t be on board for a second season, Canadian indie producer QVF and French producing partner Atlantique Productions are now developing another season for HBO Canada and France’s M6 network.
Executive producer Fred Fuchs told Playback that Germany’s RTL may yet get on board the second cycle, after it weighs scripts and creative now in the works.
X-Files executive producer Frank Spotnitz has been hired as a showrunner on Transporter: The Series for a second season.
The TV drama is based on the Luc Besson movie franchise.
The first 13 episodes of the series, which starred Chris Vance (pictured) as an ex-soldier and expert driver for-hire, were shot in Toronto and France.
