Indie distributor Double Dutch International has inked a deal to sell the Brazilian crime drama Moto Anjos (Motor Angels) from director Joe Tripician internationally.
The film, currently in pre-production, portrays a Brazilian motorbike messenger whose bike is stolen at gunpoint, forcing him to confront a criminal gang to get it back, along with his young wayward brother.
Moto Anjos stars Vinícius de Oliveira and Maria Flor, and comes from Brazilian producer Iconomia, in association with D Street Pictures.
D Street Releasing is handling North American distribution.
Double Dutch will represent the feature at Toronto and the American Film Market in Santa Monica.
“This film is an authentic and vivid look at life on the mean streets of São Paulo,” said Double Dutch International’s Jason Moring in a statement Monday.
