Frantic Films is expanding its comedy production expertise with a first-look deal with senior entertainment exec Pamela Thomas, the Winnipeg- and Toronto-based indie prodco announced Tuesday.
Thomas has more than 20 years of experience in the comedy business. She has worked as a producer on Saturday Night Live and as co-producer on Kids in the Hall. Her credits also include scripted and reality projects for NBC, HBO, VH1, Showtime, CBC, The Comedy Network and Lifetime.
Frantic Films past TV comedy slate includes Todd and the Book of Pure Evil for Space and CBC’s Men With Brooms.
“We are very fortunate to have someone of Pamela’s calibre work with our team. Pam will be a huge asset as we build out our success in comedy, and advance new projects in production and funded development,” said Frantic Films CEO Jamie Brown in a statement.
