Yukon Gold, the Paperny Entertainment documentary series for History and National Geographic Channel, has returned to Canada’s Yukon region for a second season shoot.
The first season saw gold hover at record-breaking prices.
Now the TV gold rush returns for a second cycle as four mining crews dig for the precious metal as its price has collapsed.
The four gold mining crews from around Dawson City are “Big” Al McGregor, Bernie Kreft, best friends Ken Foy and Guillaume Brodeur, and Karl Knutson.
Remote film crews will be shooting from July until the season freeze-up in early October this year.
The series is executive produced by David Paperny, Cal Schumiatcher and Audrey Mehler.
Season two of Yukon Gold is set to debut on History in spring 2014.
