PromaxBDA names Bell Media Agency global marketing team of the year

Those brand launches and refreshes at Bell Media by its Bell Media Agency has paid off with a Global Excellence Award for Marketing Team of the Year trophy received at the 2013 PromaxBDA Awards, the broadcaster said Monday.

Recognized as the company with the highest number of Global Excellence Awards, the former CTV Creative Agency was honoured as the top Canadian media group at PromaxBDA, Bell Media said.

The Bell Media Agency’s in-house creative did a successful launch for the CTV cop drama Motive, across TV, radio, online and outdoor platforms, and has given new looks to The Comedy Network and Space channels.

Space got a new tagline “It’s all around you,” while The Comedy Network got a redesigned logo and the tagline “comedy.”

The PromaxBDA honor is significant because, while Bell Media falls back on U.S. studio and network elements to help market its American series, the broadcaster relies heavily on its in-house brand partnerships and publicity teams to launch and sustain its Canadian TV and online properties.

“The Bell Media Agency has built an outstanding industry track record that has garnered international esteem,” said Jon Arklay, senior vice president of Bell Media Agency and brand strategy, in a statement.
