R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour takes multiple Daytime Emmys

R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour, the Vancouver-produced kids live-action horror series, has taken home three Daytime Emmy Awards.

It lead the contingent of Canadian content heading into the prizefest, which took place Friday in Los Angeles. The series, carried south of the border by The Hub and made by Front Street Pictures, Two 4 The Money Media, The Hatchery and Haunting Hour Productions, had netted a total of nine nominations.

It came out on top in the categories outstanding children’s series, outstanding achievement in costume design/style and outstanding achievement in hairstyling.

Also taking home the bling was Bubble Guppies from Corus’ Nelvana Studios. It won in the category of outstanding preschool animated program.
