A total of eight Canadian films will screen at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic.
Rafaël Ouellet’s Finissant(e)s and Shawney Cohen’s The Manor will screen in competition at the festival.
Finissant(e), produced by Estfilmindustri/Urbansounds, will compete for the Independent Camera Award in the Forum of Independents program, while The Manor, produced by Six Island Productions, will screen in the documentary films competition.
And Canadian films screening at the festival out of competition are Emanuel Hoss-Desmarais Whitewash, produced by Montreal’s micro_scope, Sébastien Pilote’s Le Démantèlement, produced by ACPAV, and Denis Côté’s Vic et Flo ont vu un ours, produced by La Maison de Prod/Metafilms.
Sarah Polley’s NFB documentary Stories We Tell and Marc Cousins’ copro The First Movie, produced by the U.K.’s Connect Film and Toronto-based Screen Sirens Pictures are also screening out of competition, as is Jason Eisener’s V/H/S/2, which will screen in the Midnight Screenings program.
The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will take place June 28 to July 6, 2013.
