Toronto based prodco and distributor Breakthrough Entertainment has licensed Summerhood, which features narration by John Cusack, to HBO Europe.

The feature-length coming-of-age film stars Joe Flaherty, Jesse Camacho, Raquel Alessi, Christopher McDonald and Lucien Maisel.

Jacob Medjuck both directed and wrote its script.

The plot revolves around the childhood friendship of four longtime friends who just so happen to hate each other. With the arrival of summer, a neurotic boy, determined to establish himself in his small social circle, discovers that all is not fair in love and friendship.

The film was produced by Summerhood Pictures in Nova Scotia.
