As it expands its digital presence, the Fremantle Corp has inked a series of licensing agreement with digital platforms including FilmOn, Hulu and Hoopla.
FilmOn has licensed 100 half-hour episodes of Bikini Beach for worldwide consumption via a dedicated Bikini Beach channel as well as SVOD, TVOD and EST. The show focuses on bikini contests with celebrity guests such as Hugh Hefner and Johnny Knoxville.
Hulu has contracted 26 episodes each of TFC’s Family Series Classics Swiss Family Robinson and Adventures of Black Beauty for the American market through TFC’s relationship with The Peter Rogers Organization. Additional episodes and titles are expected to follow.
And Hoopla has signed up for over 125 hours of wide-ranging content including children’s series World of Wonders, paranormal series Encounters With the Unexplained, science documentary series Volcano Hunters and lifestyle series Weird and Wonderful Hotels and Healthy Gourmet. Hoopla also added two series starring Hip Hop Dj and gear-head Funkmaster Flex, Fast Machines and Full Throttle, as well as David Frost’s Mohammad Ali interview and historical Frontline Pilots.
“As TFC expands into the digital arena, the importance of branded product with timeless appeal and audience recognition will continue to play a significant role in our market strategy as we seek viable relationships on which to build our digital initiatives,” said Aliy Brown, Manager of Digital Content at The Fremantle Corporation, in a statement.
