Bell Media’s Bravo channel has acquired 19-2, a French-to-English TV adaptation of a popular Quebec cop drama from Sphere Media Plus and Echo Media.
The specialty channel will air ten one hour episodes of the Canadian series from early 2014, after production in Quebec this fall.
Bruce Smith will show run the cop drama, which is set in Montreal and portrays two career patrolmen thrust together against their will, one a veteran downtown cop recovering from the shooting of his partner, the other a small-town policeman trying to restart his life in the big city.
Jared Keeso and Adrian Holmes topline the character-driven drama.
19-2 is executive produced by Smith, Jocelyn Deschênes, Carolyn Newman, Luc Chatelain, Jesse Mckeown and Virginia Rankin.
