The Canada Media Fund has launched a site on crowdfunding for Canadian producers and creators.
The site was designed with the input of consulting firm Nordicity and is meant to address the growing demand for information on the self-funding practice.
It features a directory of about 50 crowdfunding platforms accessible to Canadians, as well as information on which platforms are most relevant to creative content projects.
It also has information on the regulatory and legal framework Canadian producers need to be aware of, as well as tips and information on best practices.
