Ubisoft Quebec City has promoted François Pelland, a producer who lead the team that constructed the company’s successful Assassin’s Creed III game, to the position of executive director of development.
Pelland, a veteran of the gaming industry, has amassed more than 16 years of experience in the field, including more than 10 years as a team leader and manager. Before joining Ubisoft Quebec City he helped open Ubisoft Montreal, where his credits included developing Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. Before that, he was the senior director of development at EA’s Montreal office, where he worked on titles such as Army of Two and Army of Two: The 40th Day.
As well as disclosing Pelland’s promotion, Ubisoft Quebec City noted it is in the midst of recruiting for “several dozen positions” to support projects that it will be developing over the next few years.
Ubisoft Quebec City’s credits include the Rainbow Six and Battle of Giants series, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Might & Magic Duel of Champions.
