DHX sells three kids programs into Belgium

DHX Media has licensed three kids’ shows to Belgian broadcaster VRT-Ketnet.

The agreement covers 52 episodes of the new series SheZow, seasons one and two of the CBC-commissioned show Monster Math Squad and season one of Martha Speaks.

Halifax-based DHX said SheZow was also recently licensed by Paris-based Lagardère Active’s TV division to air on Canal J in France as well as in Italy via a five-year deal with Switchover Media’s kids’ channel Frisbee.

DHX Media holds worldwide TV and licensing and merchandising rights for the show, except for Australia.

As well, seasons one and two of the CG animated show Monster Math Squad were recently licensed to PCCW’s now TV channel in Hong Kong.

Additionally, seasons two and three of Martha Speaks were recently licensed to Super RTL in a TV- and VOD-rights deal and will be airing this year on the German broadcaster.

The series is coproduced by DHX Media and WGBH Boston for PBS Kids.

It has already been licensed to broadcasters around the world, including CBBC in the U.K., Nick Jr Australia, JimJam Italy and Sun TV in India.
