Minds Eye, Falconer to produce Buried Alive

Kevin DeWalt of Saskatchewan’s Minds Eye Entertainment and Canadian producer Doug Falconer of L.A.’s Falconer Pictures have pacted to produce Buried Alive: 311 Days.

Elaine Zimmerman penned the script for the film, based on the book of the same name by American contractor Roy Hallums. Hallums was kidnapped in Iraq in 2004 and held for 311 days in various locations, before the farmhouse where he was being held was raided by the U.S. Army’s Delta Force and he was freed.

“Doug and Kevin’s talents as seasoned producers combined with Elaine Zimmermann’s explosive script makes for an extremely powerful team,” Hallums said in a statement.

Minds Eye tells Playback that there is currently no cast, crew or director attached to the project. Production is planned for summer 2014.
