Minority Media’s Papo & Yo wins big at NUMIX Awards

Minority Media and sister company Rezolution Pictures took the best console game prize for Papo & Yo at the NUMIX Awards, which honour the best in Quebec multimedia product.

Papo & Yo, which was funded by the Canada Media Fund, also earned the Innovation Grand Prize.

The console game focuses on a young boy and his brutish pal navigating a magical, imagination-fueled world.

Papo & Yo was released on PlayStation in August 2012, as well as on Steam and Amazon in April 2013.

Other NUMIX Award winners included Moment Factory’s Montreal Signe Ode A La Vie project winning the Experimental Production prize for cultural product, and Apartment 11 Productions’ Cross Country Fun Hunt winning for best convergent production in the youth category.
