R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour leads the pack of Canucks and their programs in the running for Daytime Emmy Awards, unveiled yesterday.
The Vancouver-produced kids live-action horror from Front Street Pictures, Two 4 The Money Media, The Hatchery and Haunting Hour Productions netted a total of nine nominations. The series is carried by The Hub.
Indeed, kids programming produced or co-produced north of the border dominated the Canada-related nominations for the awards.
The Backyardigans, produced by Nelvana and Nickelodeon Animation Studios, Justin Time, from Guru Studios, Arthur, from DHX, and Wild Kratts from 9 Story also have been nominated in various categories.
Meanwhile, Alex Trebek also netted a nomination for his hosting of Jeopardy!
The Daytime Emmy Awards are handed out June 16 in Beverly Hills.
