Image Entertainment, has acquired the U.S. rights to the indie thriller The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh from Raven Banner Entertainment.

Image will release the genre pic on DVD and digital download from July 30, 2013.

That will follow Raven Banner releasing The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh theatrically in Canada from May 9.

“Image Entertainment has proven time and again to be an ideal distributor for cool genre films, and we’re very proud and honoured that they will be distributing Rodrigo’s film and promoting the Rue Morgue and Raven Banner brands,” Michael Paszt, managing partner at Raven Banner, said in a statement.

The debut feature from writer/director Rodrigo Gudiño stars Vanessa Redgrave and Aaron Poole, and is produced by Marco Pecota for Rue Morgue Cinemas.

The deal was negotiated by Bill Bromiley, Mark Ward and Jess De Leo for Image Entertainment and Michael Paszi and James Fler for the filmmakers.
