The National Screen Institute has partnered with the Gimli Film Festival in Manitoba to program seven themed hours of short films for the festival.
One of the programs offer jury-selected Manitoba films finished in the last year.
The remaining shorts programming will be drawn from the NSI’s archive from the NSI Online Short Film Festival.
The shorts screening at the Gimli festival will also be eligible for two $1,000 audience awards – the Shaw Media Audience Choice Award for best Canadian short film, and the Shaw Media Award for best Manitoba short film.
Manitoban short film producers can submit their films for this year’s program at Gimli starting Apr. 15. Full details are available on the NSI’s website.
