The Canadian Film Centre on Thursday announced the winners of the fourth edition of The REEL Challenge.

Emerging filmmakers were tasked with creating a 60-second comedic or animated short that showcased the importance of promoting and protecting the Canadian film and TV industry.

James Cadelli from Enbrun, Ontario, received the $7,500 prize for best comedic short for Hands. And Maja Zonjic from Mississauga received the $7,500 prize for best animated short for Preserve.
