Montreal production companies Soner Rock Films and Blackboard Pictures are jointly opening a new full-service production facility and studio in the city’s Mile End neighbourhood.

The fully-equipped centre features a 450-square-foot three-walled green room, editing suite, conference room and actors’ lounge.

The studio’s rental equipment includes cameras, cranes, jib, steadicam and six computers that are said to be equipped with the latest in post-production software. Certified editors are also available for hire.

It will officially open at the start of April, Soner Rock Films and Blackboard Pictures said in a statement.

Soner Rock is currently producing The Badge, a crime drama.
