Indie distributor Multiple Media Entertainment has acquired the Canadian rights to the British romancer City of Dreamers by writer/director Jamie Patterson.

The Ellen Cosgrove and Eddy Brimson-starrer portrays an aspiring musician in Brighton finding a romantic spark in her new city.

City of Dreamers picked up a raft of awards on the festival circuit, including best film at the Madrid International Film Festival and best actress at the Milano Independent Film Festival.

The Canadian distribution deal was unveiled by Jennifer Graham, senior vice president of sales and acquisitions at Multiple Media Entertainment.
