Raven Banner Entertainment has teamed up with Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada for the Canadian DVD release of John Dies At The End.

The move follows Raven Banner earlier this month acquiring the comic horror movie from writer/director Don Coscarelli (Phantasm, Bubba Ho-Tep) and sales agent Magnet Releasing at the Berlin International Film Festival.

The genre distributors plan an April 2, 2013 home entertainment release.

John Dies at the End earlier screened as part of midnight sidebars in Sundance, SXSW and Toronto.

Based on the novel by author David Wong, John Dies at the End was adapted by Coscarelli as a sci-fi movie.

The genre picture stars Paul Giamatti as an investigator trailing a street drug that promises an out-of-body experience across dimensions.

But when some who return are no longer human, and it becomes apparent that a secret invasion is underway, two college dropouts are thrust in heroic roles they are unprepared for.

The horror pic also stars Clancy Brown, Rob Mayes and Chase Williamson.
