Brink Studio, a new production house, opened its doors on Monday in Toronto.
Headed up by president and founder Irfan Saleemi, the studio specializes in live action, animation and interactive projects for film, broadcast, commercial advertising and music.
The studio is also led by exec producer Richard Cureton and director of sales Jaime Randle.
Directors on the roster include TIFF 2012 RBC emerging filmmaker competition winner Jordan Canning (Seconds), Ace Norton, Dave Green, Dugan P’Neal, George Vale, Hiro Murai, JP Frenay, Nando Costa and Ori Toor.
“The mandate for our roster reflects the original ethos of the company: the ‘brink’ of creativity,” says Saleemi in a statement. “Another important component is that it is small in size. Our interests lie in presenting an avenue that our directors can express themselves creatively.”
Saleemi is also president and CEO of photography concessions company Digital Attractions, while Randle is the founder of Plates Annimation and Cureton has worked for 20 years in commercial production.
