BAM Distribution has acquired the Canadian rights to the theatrical feature BB King: The Life of Riley, ahead of a spring 2013 release.

The film, narrated by Morgan Freeman, is directed and produced by Jon Brewer of U.K.-based Emperor Media as it recalls the life and career of the legendary musician from the 1940’s to the present day.

Eric Clapton, Bono, Bruce Willis, Carlos Santana and other fellow musicians appear in BB King: The Life of Riley.

The deal was negotiated by Iain Taylor from BAM and Guy Collins from GFM Films.
