Phase 4 Films acquires Canadian rights to I Declare War

Phase 4 Films has picked up Canadian rights to Jason Lapeyre and Rob Wilson’s I Declare War, announced by the company’s president and CEO Berry Meyerowitz Thursday.

The company will release the film day-and-date in theatres and on-demand on digital and VOD platforms in Canada this spring.

The news comes on the heels of Drafthouse Films taking U.S. rights to the film this week, with a planned theatrical and VOD release in the second half of 2013.

I Declare War centres on a group of kids and their game of capture-the-flag that turns into a serious, boundary-pushing battle.

The film, which had its world premiere at TIFF, is produced by Lewin Webb, Wilson and Patrick Cameron of Samaritan Entertainment.
