New Sony online store available in Canada

Digital natives have yet another place to buy their screen entertainment.

This thanks to Sony unveiling a new online store in Canada that enables consumers who have a PlayStation Network or Sony Entertainment Network account to buy and download not only PS games but also movies and TV shows which then can be played on Sony Media Go-equipped PCs and Sony Xperia smartphones and tablets.

The PlayStation Store was first rolled out in Europe in December and in late January has been expanded to cover the territories of not only Canada but also the U.S., Mexico and Brazil.

The company also recently unveiled news that Sony Entertainment Network account holders can add funds to their “wallets” via PayPal. The wallet can be used to purchase games, movies and TV episodes from the PS Store and more.

Content purchased from a PC (Mac and Windows) is added to My Downloads within the PlayStation Store. Users can then download games, movies and TV episodes directly onto their PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation Portable systems–or Sony smartphones and tablets.
