Si Entertainment acquires three unscripted titles

Toronto-based Si Entertainment has picked up for distribution three new unscripted titles, the company announced Thursday.

Here are the shows’ details:

Majumder Manor (8 x 30′ HD) is produced by Take the Shot Productions Inc. for W Network, and sees Canuck actor and comedian Shaun Majumder return to his beloved hometown — the small and all but unknown Newfoundland and Labrador outport community of Burlington, population 376 —with his big-city-raised fiancée, Shelby Fenner, his big sister Rani Majumder and his pal Peter Blackie (Majumder and Fenner pictured).

Meanwhile It’s All About Me (1 hour feature in HD) is produced by Gaber Productions and looks at historical and cultural dynamics have influenced generational change over the past 60 years, pondering the question of whether or not today’s advanced technology is fueling rampant narcissism.

Employee of the Week (12 x 30′ HD), which is co-produced by Corkscrew Media, Gordon Drake Inc., and Cheval Noir for CMT, is a charity-competition show that pits two celebrities against each other as they try their hand at a manual, Joe Average job, such as cleaning sewers, hauling manure, mining coal or catching lobster. The winner, as chosen by the Average Joe boss, gets $5,000 for his or her charity.

Si has in its catalogue more than 500 hours of programming, including lifestyle, scripted, factual, documentary and reality shows, series and formats.
