Ann Harbron to head Muse Entertainment’s new factual division

Former Discovery Channel Canada exec Ann Harbron has been tapped to lead Montreal-based Muse Entertainment’s foray into factual programming.

Harbron will take on a new executive position at the company’s newly-opened Toronto office, as managing director of factual programming.

“We’re delighted that Ann, with her extensive network experience, production knowledge and relationships in Canada and internationally, will be leading Muse’s launch into the exciting and popular world of factual entertainment,” said Muse Entertainment president and CEO Michael Prupas in a statement.

Harbron is the former director of commissioning and production at Discovery Channel Canada.

There, she worked as executive producer on factual and reality series, including Canada’s Worst Driver, Canada’s Greatest Know It All, Last Day of the Dinosaurs and How William Shatner Changed the World.

In addition to its new Toronto office, Muse Entertainment also has offices in Los Angeles.
